Too Fiddly, Not Fit For Purpose
It took me longer to cut out a set of letters than it took to create a cake topper and ice the cake! I followed all the instructions and video on the manufacturer’s website. I used modelling paste as recommended and left it to harden a while, but the tool is far too difficult to use, especially with the intricate letter ‘E’. I will not be using again (too much hassle) and recommend avoiding this product. Save yourself time and hassle!

Too difficult to use
Not been able to use this as we struggled to get the icing out of the letters. Very disappointed with this product.

A good size for banners on cakes and it makes sharp cuts every time and easy to remove from the strip.

Baby cubes
I read reviews with some saying they had trouble with getting letters out. I watched the video and followed advice on there. You definitely need to roll out the icing and leave it to dry for abit (I left for an hour, got on making cubes). I then cut out letters and had no problems.

not very useful
This product was not easy to use, with the letters not separating it was impossible to get the letter required easy and they did not release from the mould so were out of shape.

Disappointed
Worst thing I've ever purchased from Hobbycraft.
Even after following instructions it doesn't do what it's supposed to. The icing sticks and was impossible to get out without breaking and leaving a complete mess.
Bought for my Son's 18th Birthday cake, complete disaster ended up doing it freehand.
Very disappointing. Would not recommend.
