Love my new Big Shot Plus !!!
Bought this for my larger A4 size dies (Tonic etc) to supplement my existing well loved Big Shot I've had for many years. I've also got an electronic machine but find myself returning time and again to manual machines. There's no guess work with Sizzix, the instructions are printed onto the cutting platform & adaptor plates. Best machines for Sizzix own dies including Bigz steel rule dies, works well with other manufacturers. Beautiful construction, has a decent weight to it but not overly so, with a design that's been around fo e many years.
I'm so happy with my Big - set for many year's use. Love love it!!

big but useful
After using a Big Shot for the last 3 years it is good to have one that handles full A4 sheets. However, my workspace is limited and I find the old Big Shot the ideal one for my desk, and keep the Big Shot Plus on a side table for occasional use when I really need the wide opening for large projects. I am pleased at last to be able to cut apertures in DL and large cards (without having to cut and join the two parts of the card) and also being able to put border dies through the Big Shot Plus in order to put a decorative border down a DL card (or large card). The Big Shot Plus is a great tool - but I would not want to be without its smaller, desk friendly, little cousin!!

easy to use - excellent results
My dearly beloved cuttlebug broke due to getting cardboard shims stuck in the rollers. No such problems with this machine as every thickness of die is accounted for. I was going to buy the smaller version but am so glad I splashed out on this one. Not only does it cut and embossed brilliantly but the cutting plate is long enough to cut several dies on the same 'wind through'. It is also easy to put larger cards through to cut apertures into the card itself rather than using another piece of card and mounting it.
Bliss; can't praise it enough even if it does take up a bit more room!

A cracking piece of kit
I have several die cutting machines but decided that I wanted a new large manual as I cut loads of fabric for quilting and patchwork. This arrived in a reasonable time and was very well packaged. Everything that I needed to get up and running was in the box so to test it out, I added some cardstock and a few dies and that was it. The Big Shot Plus gives a massive area to work on. Like the smaller Big Shot, the plates do mark quite quickly so be prepared to replace, though it will take a long long time to wear these massivehoosive plates out. It was the best price I could find on the net and an extra 15% off how could I not be pleased, A definite happy purchase!

Fantastic machine
Have loved the versatility of the Big Shot in being able to cut fabric as well as card and paper. It's only downside was the new embossing folders and dies were for the larger width machines, not my narrow Big Shot. When I heard a wider version was being released I scoured the Internet for the best price and Hobbycraft took some beating. When I was sent a 15% discount for being in their club it was a no-brainer and purchased it immediately. I am now a very happy crafter with a fantastic machine that will give me hours of fun and at a bargain too....Can't ask for more.

So easy a child could do it!
I bought this after my cuttlebug fell apart which I hadn't used much and had often struggled turning the handle and trying to keep it still whilst using. I read lots of reviews on different forums and was a bit sceptical when choosing a new one. Did they all make you struggle to turn the handle I asked myself?? Absolutely not, the big shot is fantastic, really easy to use, handle a breeze and doesn't move an inch whilst using. I've had back and shoulder surgery so needed an easy to use straight forward machine that wouldn't move and putting dies through would be a breeze and this is it! It also gives very sharp cuts to your paper, it's lovely and simple with no struggling, I would highly recommend it to anyone with dexterity problems also.

Just what you need
I already have an A4 die cutting machine but it's getting old and was considering buying a new one, but which one? This time I wanted one that took all my normal dies with equal pressure over the whole cutting area. Also could take bigz dies as I am a quilter and wanted the choice to be able to put quilting dies through, so I could make accurate multi cuts. The other feature I had thought was good was the flat platform. On my previous machine I had to feed the plate sandwich into the machine in mid air, with the big shot you have a solid platform where you place the die on top and just cover with a cutting plate. Have found I no longer need to tape dies down, they don't move, whilst you are trying to squeeze the 2 plates, card and die together in preparation to insert into the machine. You have complete control. Plus I've now found sizzix also make bigz dies especially for quilting AND are much less expensive than others on the market! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic size
Had to look up instructions on youtube.
Was very worried at first because with the 1st few uses it was very difficult to pass the dies through and there was a lot of cracking noises, so I thought I was breaking it, but don't panic, after looking through YouTube I found this is perfectly normal.
Now it's run in a bit it's a fantastic machine and the size of it is perfect.
Would have given 5 stars if the instructions were better and warned of difficulty of use and cracking noises in the 1st few uses.
