Lovely yarn
This is beautifully soft, it is double knit yarn but I have crocheted 2 strands together to make a chunky yarn and made a lovely thick blanket. So if hobbycraft dont have the colour chunky yarn of your choice take a look at this yarn and use 2 strands/balls together. This DK yarn washes really well on a 30 temperature. It's so reasonable pricewise for 100grams and the colour choice is amaizing. This yarn could be used for multiple items, the texture is soft enough for baby clothes, durable enough for clothing and brilliant for home items, for crochet and knitting, I highly recommend it.

Disappointing Quality
Although the colour match is good compared to previous purchases the yarn is much thicker and feels very rough when knitted up. It is ok for the novelty knits that I do but I wouldn't recommend it for clothing. I had noticed this poorer quality yarn on another colour bought recently but thought it was a one off problem. Not so sure now. I have bought WI yarn for years, always found the quality to be excellent and have had no hesitation recommending it to others. Hope this is just a short term problem and it returns to its usually lovely soft feel.

Great value
I've been using this wool for a few years now, and it never disappoints. I can't remember ever having a join, which you can get several times from one ball with other brands. I also love that a small portion of the profit goes to a good cause (makes you a little less guilty when your stocking up as your also supporting a charity he he)

There is not enough variety of wools
The product was not up to the required standard as it had many flaws here and there. Also the glue from the label band had leaked through the item.

Good, consistent quality
Good quality. Also good value if you take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer. Works out at £1.50 a ball.

Good and Consistant
I have used several of the Womens Institute Yarns, this one has been consistant and easy to use, the yarn is the same thickness through out and easy to crochet up, Hobby craft have kept a keep supply in stock and it has remained on the 3 for 2 deal which makes this already good priced yarn a bargain. very reliable.
