Maker 3 worth it?
Solidly built machine, disappointed that it did not come with cutting mats and only basic blade. Only real difference over Maker appears to be ability (if you buy the roll holder) to use CriCut roll material (cut up to 12ft) which honestly I don't need. I am left with the feeling I should have saved 100 quid and just got the Maker not Maker 3. CriCut Software is over simplistic and not as flexible as Silhoette Studio, but I think CriCut machine build quality is better than Silhouette. (In my personal opinion of course). Really they should include the roll feeder with the machine. Please bear in mind you will have to buy 3 x mats £21 and may end up buying the knife, rotary blades, scorer etc which are about £50 each! and the roll holder £49 if you want to use the Maker 3 full functionality on top of the machine cost.

Amazing
Since making bottles up with stickers I had bought I fell in love with them, since then that’s all I’ve said to my mum and family if only I had my own machine I could do things, well last week I bought my very own circuit maker 3 from hobby craft in fforestfach Swansea with the help of a lovely lady called Nicole who helped me massively, since buying my machine I haven’t stopped using it, it’s amazing and I can’t want to practice more and get good, best thing I’ve bought in a very long time, the main thing for me it’s help my mental health massively

Stick With It!
In theory this machine does everything from drawing, cutting vinyl to engraving. But that is dependent on being sent the correct instructions from the free app, 'Design Space', which you need to use to come up with what you want the machine to create. That means that you need to do a fair bit of homework. However, don't let it put you off. Take a look at the app before buying the machine. See what kind of things you can make (after buying any of the extras necessary). Decide if that's what you want to do and, if so, buy it. It can be very frustrating at times and definitely initially not easy to master the app but it'll be worth it if it's your thing

It’s not quite there yet
My 3 stars are mostly for what I think the Maker 3 can be, not what it is at the moment. I have an Explore Air 2 which I love and wanted the Maker for cutting basswood and chipboard. The first machine I received was actually faulty, I noticed immediately it was very noisy and clunky when the mechanism was moving. I couldn’t cut any thick materials with the knife blade until a software update fixed the problem and I had a few successful cuts. However this stopped working and I took my machine back for a replacement.
Hobbycraft were incredibly helpful and accommodating in the exchange process and I’d give them 5 stars!
The new machine is much quieter and works better but it still has a major issue of not cutting anything other than very basic circular shapes out of basswood. It is very heavy handed with vinyl and I still use my Air 2 for that.
I actually would not recommend the Maker 3 at the moment, I think it will get better but it’s definitely not there yet.

So Many Features
I’m still new to Cricut, but so far I am very impressed by what my new Cricut Machine 3 can do. I can’t wait to try out more projects over the next coming months. It’s really opened up a whole new ball game when it comes to crafting. I have to say I was nervous at first. But as some of the instructional videos say, have a go and see what you can create. That’s exactly what I’ve done. I’m just sorry for my poor family who are now going to get more handmade presents from now on!

once you get the hang of it it's brilliant
I was very intimidated when I bought this after seeing people saying they had had them for months unused as to confused. I watched a few videos and did a lot of research. I bought this for my daughter and I. Its not as hard as it seems. You do need to buy the sticky mats and weeding tools. I have bought so much vinyl and really enjoyed making things. We have made water bottle decals reusable shopping bags and t-shirts

Doesn't cut properly. Frustrating.
I purchased the circuit maker 3 I'm January so I have had a fair bit of time to try it out before giving my review. I have previously owned the cricut joy and I honestly wish I just repurchased that.
I find myself wasting far too much time weeding the vinyl. I use smart vinyl yes the cricut maker 3 seems to be struggling to cut deep enough and I have to send it through to do a double cut EVERY single time. Extremely time consuming. Wish I saved on the almost £300 difference 😓
So I'd suggest if you're working with mainly vinyl, don't splurge and stick to the cheaper models.

I adore this machine
The best yet !
I love my maker 3
Cuts so many materials, works fantastically with my printer for projects,
Cuts quickly & precisely
Only downside is that you don't get any accessories with it, just the original blade
But hey ho, Cricut needs to make more money for these add ons ...
You'll need a reasonable amount of desk space, sign upto design space & have a good pc/laptop/printer to design your items
I love it
