Awful dangerous product!
This product is dangerous and should have been recalled. This product exploded in my face and literally went over everything in our kitchen - furniture, walls, floor, light flitting, ceiling and curtains! I am just glad it was me and not my child it exploded on. Our ceiling and walls now needs redecorating and our curtains are ruined as these paints are not washable, so this will cost us a fortune now. I have since read numerous reviews citing the same problem and Hobbycraft are well aware of the problem with this product and have taken no action to recall this product. Hobbycraft should be paying for new curtains and redecorating my kitchen!

Pens not suitable
These paint pens are terrible. Impossible to get the stopper out the top of them and if you do the paint goes everywhere. Once I removed the stopper it went all over my dress and arms. The paint is not washable and stained my skin for 4 days.

Rubbish
I brought these for my granddaughter to paint a sun catcher. These may of been in store too long and set. My daughter in a last ditch to loosen the paint gave it a squeeze. The top of the pen shot off spraying paint everywhere, ceiling, fridge, wall, blinds…………never again

No instructions and really hard/dangerous to open
Not too sure why these are marketed at children... But it does definitely say children on the box and it was in the children's section in the store.
I couldn't figure out how to open them so I Googled it and found this page with all the reviews on. Even knowing they were hard to open and the paint would go everywhere, I still struggled. Had to jab the blade of a pair of scissors into the top to pull the cap out. Managed to stay clean by wrapping the whole thing in a tissue and pointing it away from me. Definitely wouldn't want a child trying that on their own. There are no instructions on how to open or use them on the box, but there is a warning to "possibly seek medical advice" if it goes in your eyes. Which it probably will if you don't Google it first.

Dangerous for children
Terrible item.
Opened the pen and it exploded it my face with great force and straight into my eyes. I had to go to minor injuries and get them cleaned and take drops for the next week.
it stained all my clothes and bedsheets
the best of it is, i contacted Hobby Craft and they offered me a £5 voucher for the inconvenience, without mentioning the possibility of recalling the products which are very dangerous for children.
DONNOT BUY!!!

DANGEROUS!
The pens are sealed and have no instructions or even mention of how to open them. I was trying to remove the cap and the pen shot paint straight into my eye. In agony, I've spent the last hour rinsing my eye and I'm waiting a call back from 111. Thankfully it was me and not children. I've come onto here to find the ingredients and have seen this has happened to multiple people. The product is dangerous and should not be sold.

Awlful! Do not buy!
There are no instructions on how to remove the cap! Not even a mention of a cap! This shot open flew into my eye. Which sent the kids into a panic because I couldn't see and I'm stumbling around the kitchen to find the tap to rinse my eye shouting at the eldest to get a flannel so I can clear my face. Face cleared. Clear up the almighty mess from the tiny bottle and re look at another bottle to see if I can work it. End up just snipping the ends off. Dont work the way I hoped. Found cap, but still no way to remove. Lots of tears from the kids because now the paint isn't going on the way it should via the small hole. My eye is still irritated and having just seen my face it's all in my hair. So clear up. Paints in the bin! And off to the shower I go. I don't have the receipt as only spent 6 quid(2 sets of paints 3 sunbathers) never did I image the afterschool activity turn to such drama! PLEase IMPROVE A) instructions. B) the "ease' of use!
