Need to be patient and careful. To get best result
Very nice kit. Look carefully at instructions. Before removing parts. I didnt.
Watch out when removing spring suspension back plate. It had detail on centre of top edge. Where the sprue gate is. I cut it off level. So lost feature. Once side skirts are fitted you wont see it. Also the long suspension rod is very delicate. I broke the working hole end. When trying to cut it off short sprue link. So need to think out of the box to fix. As the suspension works.
You can get from model maker working tracks to replace, rubber band type supplied.
Also check out aftermarket for other upgrades. Especially if you want to leave drivers hatches open.

Nice kit BUT
Bought this kit to complete my 3 C's Centurion, Chieftain and Challenger collection. It was a reasonable kit to build, here come the but! If you want to build this out of the box without adding to the already overpriced kit with additional P.E. etc. Be warned the engine hatch handles, the light protector bars and the headlight connection stems are very fragile and will snap easily. In addition the kit I bought had a17 year old decal sheet which caused the decals to disintegrate on attempting to remove them from the thick backing. Along with this kit I have bought 2 additional AFV Club kits (Scorpion and Scimitar) all of which I find well sub standard for the price.

Good model
An eccellent representation of the Centurion and not too complex to build but with some clever engineering involved and a good finish to the parts plus a metal gun barrel

Quality models
AFV Club are an excellent company, their mouldings are very crisp and their attention to detail is brilliant. Assembly instructions are easy to follow.
Hobbycraft have a good variety of models on the shelf.

AFV Club Centurion Mk 5 and 6
Excellent detail, quality of parts and fit. Small quantity of photoetched parts that most modellers can handle easily, clear instructions. Value for money 8/10.
