Looks good
It does look good, however there are a few things Hobbycraft should address with this item… It doesn’t fit on the Hobbycraft A2 canvases!! I saw from a previous review that it didn’t fit A2, I tested this in store (the Hobbycraft A2 doesn’t fit in the frame!) but I took the gamble that it would fit my A2 canvas from The Range, and luckily it did!
It’s very lightweight, plastic not wood, but it does the job and finished off my artwork perfectly.
My only complaint is the packaging on the back was a nightmare to get off and leaves so many staple holes! The corner protectors were stapled on, and also a piece of cardboard over each of the hanging hooks. Some were so deep in I couldn’t get them out and had to leave the scruffy bits of cardboard under the staples. This was for a sold piece of artwork, so even though it’s on the back, I wasn’t too happy having to leave them like this.
Overall I would buy the frame again for future pieces, but Hobbycraft need to sort the packaging.

Doesn't Fit A2 canvas
Bought with next day delivery because I've had short notice of an open art exhibit locally and everything is required to be displayed framed and ready to sell. Had some fun ideas for customising the frame, was really excited... And it's too small (I bought the canvas from Hobbycraft as well)
The frame itself looks like it would be exactly what I wanted, if it was an inch longer.

Technique needed but does work!!!
So pleased with my purchase. After reading the reviews at first I was unsure if I should purchase but after struggling to find an alternative decided to give it a go. I also used the A2 canvas that I purchased from Hobby craft too. At first it didn't appear to fit however the measurements were showing it was possible. I found in the end it was a perfect fit and I am extremely happy with the final display. For anyone wondering how I managed it I started by slotting the canvas in the middle part of the frame and pushing it towards one of the sides. It is a tight squeeze but no tape was needed to hold it in. I used a small hammer gentle to tap it in to each of the corners when it was laid down flat and hung it up on the wall. Hope this helps any future customers as I really struggled to find a frame anywhere and really wanted one to finish my art work.

Doesn't fit an a2 canvas
Very cheap and hollow plastic. Doesn't come with any attachments to fiit the canvas to it. My hobbycraft a2 canvas I painted wouldn't fit. The float frame was too small. Had to remove the canvas painting from it wood frame, shave down the wood frame. then reattach the canvas painting back to the wood frame. It it pretty much just wedged in. There's no gap between the canvas and the float frame bit it fits now

Doesn’t fit A2 canvas
Bought to fit an A2 canvas. Doesn’t fit the A2 canvas hobbycraft sell. I tried some other canvasses from other retailers. They don’t fit either

Looks good but too snug a fit
The painting looks great on the wall and fits the frame exactly but I had hoped for a floating frame effect (a couple of mm around the edge of the canvas, between the canvas and the frame).

Good, but could be great
Not bad, be even better if there was a 5mm gap around the edge and fixing screws, to give a real 'floating effect'

Poor fitting
There is a major problem with getting the A2 canvas to fit in the A2 frames it’s very hit and miss .
