They are Buttons and blue ...
I can confirm that these are in fact buttons and that the buttons are blue, some are transparent, some are not.
I'm not sure what everyone else uses their buttons for but I'm pretty sure I now have enough tiny buttons to last a lifetime and will definitely run out of medium sized (10-15mm) ones

Used for a revamp project
Bought to cover up some marks on a cheap mirror. Make a nice effect. I under estimated how many I needed could have done with two boxes
