Nice kit but no aperture card like previous kits
Nice little kit but disappointed that there was no aperture card to use for finished work I have purchased these many times before and they had a little card in them and were the same price now have to find the little cards to put my work in which will bring the outlay more that a bigger set would have cost

Where is the backstitch? All the patterns this year just look unfinished due to this. First you took the aperture card away and now no backstitch?
I've had to try and work something out, but I'm better at just following the pattern, although has got harder this year with less distinct markers.
The colours also seem so muted it's hard to split them out.
As is the way with all things these days, you get less of a product for more cost.

Not nearly enough thread to finish the project!
I am extremely dissapointed, I was so excited to start this but when I opened the box I realised that I the thread colours didn’t match the colours in the picture. I then realised it didn’t matter because there is not nearly enough yarn to finish the project, I have barely made a start on the roof and I have already run out of the green and what is supposed to be brown!
has this kit not been tested at all??

A very poor kit
I agree with other reviewers that this kit is very disappointing. I am an experienced cross stitcher and struggled to work out which colour went where and only just had enough thread to finish the design. I would not purchase these again, the un boxed kits on sale in previous years which were far superior.

Very poor instructions, which even after emailing Hobbycraft ( no response) and visiting the store, staff were unable to help decipher what was meant! The thread colours were not the same as in the picture either, so it made it difficult to work out which colour to use where.

Not for beginners!
Kit is nice, contains Aida fabric , needle and decent amount of thread however the picture is tiny. No instructions really except the picture and they have used very similar keys to different colours. I managed it as I’m an experienced stitcher but not for a beginner.

I bought this about a month ago but wasn't very impressed with the colour scheme to dull for a christmas card, which is what I use these mini x stitch for.
