so useful
I've had this a few months now and have already cut felt, other material as well as paper, card etc. With the beginnings of osteoarthritis in my hands, it is a boon. do read the instructions thoroughly as regards the correct 'plate sandwich' for different dies or embossing folders. Sometimes it can be a bit fiddly pushing intricately cut pieces out of the die but with the help if a fine needle helps. Instructions are good, your imagination is the limit to its possibilities! I've already used it to cut out fabric hearts for a cosmetic bag and bought more dies at a recent Show. It will cut different makes of dies which is useful.

Disappointed
With the Gemini. A recent purchase to replace my EBosser. Plates produce a good cut and are much lighter and easier to manage. However, the cut is so good that the magnetic mat and plastic shim underneath have got the outline of the die pattern on them due to the pressure being so strong and not me placing die the wrong way around. The problem I have now is that this marks any card used in the machine. One of my larger dies ruined the rubber mat and this has holes in it. This was on my second cut! Wouldn't recommend this product unless I have been unlucky with particular one and others rate it highly. Would return but didn't want husband to know I had made purchase.

So easy to use
I currently have a leading brand hand machine pwhich I love And was Dubious about spending so much money on a die cut machine but I wanted an electric version and I got this in a sale and I am really happy. It’s so easy to use and no turning handles and feet coming unstuck on the table. You get everything you need with it and it is fine with the range of dies I have from different brands. Everything cuts beautifully and embossed great and takes all kinds of folders.
The down sides are its weight, v heavy but not a problem if it’s left in one place. Also be careful of the metal sheet as it’s thin you can easily cut fingers, hands I cut (like deep paper cuts) myself 3 times.

Fabulous machine
Bought this machine a few months ago and now wished I had taken the plunge much sooner. Haven't yet found a die it doesn't cut with a first pass, even very intricate dies on 300gsm weight card, it just cuts through like butter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you are looking for an A4 electric machine, well worth the money. Only negatives I can find are very thin embossing mat which doesn't look as though it will last long, cutting plates need to be rotated to ensure they remain straight but this is not a problem. It's also quite heavy so needs to be kept in one place rather than portable if possible but I am very very happy with this purchase.

Easy to use
Loved this and used it straight out of the box. Unfortunately , it "froze" with the plates and my die halfway through on the second day of use.Took it t back to Hobbycraft and they replaced it (could have had my money back) and furthermore, Steve , at Tunbridge Wells, took great pains to open the machine and retrieve my precious die.
I love the machine but I must say my heart is in my mouth every time I use it. But it could be that I was unlucky and got the odd faulty machine to get through quality control.
The machine is so much easier to use than a manual one and I love the way it came with all the plates and shims so you can get going immediately.

BEST MACHINE BY FAR!!!!
I was over the moon to finally be able to add this to my collection of other embossing & die-cutting machines, although they will now take a back seat, as this takes out all the hard work, of cranking a handle.
I needed this machine, due to spinal & neck surgery to make my life easier and my crafting a happier, more enjoyable experience....with no pain at the end of it.
This machine does exactly what it says on the box. So easy to use and a pleasure to cut out intricate dies and see the stunning results at the end of it. Embossing comes out beautiful as this machine knows what pressure to give to each design.
I'm well under way now in my crafting and would highly recommend this machine to every crafter and there craft room.

Very disappointed
My husband bought the Gemini for my birthday and I was thrilled when I opened it. Unfortunately, after about 30-40 minutes use, the machine started making strange noises and would not accept the plates anymore. We returned it to the store and received excellent service from the staff there. I went home with my replacement Gemini, but this too had a fault and had to be returned, but this time I asked for a refund as was so disappointed.
Even for the brief time it was working, the intricate dies didn’t cut well at all. Only the dies around the edge cut, and even they needed more than one run through the machine.

Stylish and Easy to Use
I have had the Gemini for less than a week and already love it ! This machine is a joy to work with - I have other cutting/embossing machines but this is by far the best. It looks so stylish and is so easy to use. The reverse function is handy for a "double cut" and the embossing comes out beautifully every time. I would be happy to recommend this to anyone - especially those who may have shoulder/arm problems which make manual machines difficult/painful to use. I might think of getting rid of some of my other machines - but NEVER my Gemini !
