Disappointed
This is not suitable for a beginner as the pattern is not very well written (also in US abbreviations) I started to complete the chick using all of the tools provided and I have ran out of yarn. The yarn in other colours looks like the bare minimum was given and the stuffing provided is very small too so not confident I can complete the others.

Not for beginners
Definitely not for anyone that is starting out. Found the needle too small and not enough wool. Would not recommend unless already proficient.

Love It!
Absolutely love it! I’m a beginner (my friend got me into it, teaching me the basic hand motions), and this helped me a lot. Made a bee as my first project (he’s a little wonky, but I don’t care), then made an owl for my boss. Now I’m making another bee for my mum! No doubt I’ll continue using the book to make more little crochet friends.

Bought this last week. The book says it is perfect for beginners and has detailed step by step instructions but it is actually very hard to follow and the hook is very small (especially for beginners). Doesn’t have much wool or stuffing but if it was easy to follow it would be great as a kit for experienced crochet people

Lovely but not for total beginners!
This kit is lovely but you will need a basic knowledge of crochet to use it. I thought it was a beginners kit as there are instructions for a lot of the stitches, but when you go to the individual patterns it’s as clear as mud to a newbie like me!

Not suitable for beginners
These instructions are just impossible to follow. The designs look cute but I'm going to have to look elsewhere for instructions because there's a big knowledge gap between the terminology explainer page and the instructions for different projects. Definitely not suitable for beginners.

Not for beginners!!
Infuriating kit which is absolutely not for beginners. The terminology and abbreviations in the booklet are confusing and not legible for beginners. Missed out basic first steps which are needed to get started. Really disappointing and definitely would not recommend unless you can already crochet.
