Daler-Rowney's range of System3 Acrylic Paints offers the ideal paint for a range of fantastic artistic designs. Only high quality pigments are used in the manufacture of the System3 acrylic paints, offering significantly greater loading than in other acrylic ranges in this class. System3’s comprehensive range of colours offers excellent light fastness, permanence, durability and covering power.

Perfect for art students and experienced acrylic painting pros alike, this set of acrylic paint gives you 22ml of rich colour within each tube. All colours can be thinned with water to pale washes or used directly from the pot or tube; each form dries quickly to create an insoluble film.

There are 10 colours included in this introduction set, too, giving you plenty of shades to choose from. Mix and match Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Crimson, Ultramarine, Emerald, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber and Mars Black.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NellyandStan from Too transparent for me I was expecting dense colour which would easily cover over one colour with another. This was not the case, very translucent, even with numerous coats the colour beneath could still be seen. These seemed more similar to watercolour paints and nothing like the acrylic paint that you find in posca pens for example which have very dense coverage and allow even darker colours to be covered by light. If you are happy with translucency these are probably ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RuthR64 from System 3 - Excellent acrylic paints I decided to step up to a better grade of acrylic paint and the Dahler and Rowney System 3 was recommended by a friend. The paint is a really good consistency with great colours and mixes really easily. It gives good coverage on canvas and a small amount goes a long way. It can be used neat or watered down for different effects. The set gives you a range of colours plus black and white to let you try out the product before going for larger tubes of paint.

I wanted to help them beyond poster paints, and they've served well. They're relatively cheap and will (I believe) enthuse them towards other crafting.
