Great job, but......
I bought this in the hope that it would restore a black jersey dress that i somehow managed to spill some bleach on. The store didn't have any black in stock so i went for the nearest colour that i thought would work best, navy blue.
I didn't hold out much hope as the instructions said it may not work on bleach stains, however it did a great job and my dress looks new again.
The only negative is the aftermath it leaves in the machine, i followed the instructions and ran the machine empty a couple of times, however it still left dye around the rubber door rim which i had to scrub to remove. It did leave blue marks on a white shirt 2 washes later, but they came out after washing again.

Great results!
I haven’t used Dylon in a number of years and the new pods make it so easy to use. Just add to the washing machine drum and clothes to dye. I dyed 3 pairs of shorts and some trousers navy blue with the one pod. They all turned out really lovely with an all over colour and has renewed them all for wearing again, especially my husbands shorts as they were faded and stained. I wiped the seal of the washing machine afterwards and only washed a dark load first to be safe but no issues at all. I Would definitely recommend this product.

Colour exactly as on the tub
I used this to dye pale yellow sofa covers from a small 2 seat sofa. The covers are 100% cotton. I dyed the main sofa cover in one wash and the cushions in a separate wash. I weighed each load and the dry covers weighed approx 1.9kg and the cushions weighed approx 1.6kg. So I decided I needed 2 pods in each load. It says one pod per 600g of fabric. I used Dylon Navy blue. I decided this would be the best colour that wouldn’t come out murky because of the yellow You have to dye clean fabric, so wash it first. I spot removed a couple of small marks first too. The pods are easy to use, just unwrap and put on top of the fabric in the drum. The colour came out exactly as shown, but there were a few patches on it, probably because machine was pretty full, probably a too full(it’s just a standard capacity machine). Luckily the patches don’t show up much because the sofa has a flower pattern weave. The stitching and zips did not dye, I was expecting that as they are likely to be synthetic fibres. It was a second hand sofa so I was happy to risk it. Very pleased with the overall result.

Plastic....environmental yuck.
Dylon dye is FANTASTIC - BUT is Dylon Navy Blue Dye Pod 350g
RECYCLEd/REUSABLE - SO...
'Small plastic bag v Big plastic pod'
If it is 'recycled' & 'recyclable' plastic, fantastic. But if no...I did like using the original recyabke cardboard boxes (with small plastic bags) because I could buy salt in large quantities, to store & weigh out when dying/renewing/recycling clothing! So I would have preferred any 'modern' change to have been inching towards recycled materials; perhaps boxes/bags made out of 'recycled newspaper' or out of the returned old Dylon dye boxes. Just a thought/hope AS I loath plastic

Just the job
Bought this to dye loose sofa covers. Very easy to use, just take the label off the POD and put the whole thing into the machine, no salt, no pouring the dye into the drum.
Be aware that the fabric must be clean and damp and the more natural the fabric, the more the colour with take. Not suitable for really synthetic fabrics as the colour won't take.

Works really well
I used this to dye a navy 100% cotton dress that had faded, it worked really well in the washing machine and my dress looks new again. Was a bit worried it would stay inside the machine and dye my other clothes but if you follow the instructions and run it on a few washes it gets rid of the dye so I have had no issues.

Haven't used this Navy Blue colour yet but if it's anything like the brown I used during the summer, i already know it has a 'thumbs up' from me. I was sceptical at first that the pod could even work in a washing machine but they are simple and convenient to use. Just follow the instructions and you have a brilliant product. But beware, it seems only cotton items dye fully. The instructions explain which fabrics the colour pod won't dye. Hence I have some items dyed brown with white stitching! Would recommend the product but use with care by following the instructions. (I also found that the maximum weight can be exceeded but for first time users, it would be best to stick to the weight of clothes recommended.
