Beautiful Wooden Box! Perfect for Pyrography
I am an Artisan at Hobbycraft, and I was asked to test this brand new wooden filigree box. I love pyrography, so chose to embellish the box using my wood-burning tool. My first impressions of the box; I loved the cut-out design, size and that it was extremely smooth with no knots or heavy grain lines. Inspired by the laser-cut top panel design, I decided to recreate a similar design as a wood-burnt front panel. I embellished the top cut-out design too with some pyrography to create the finished effect. The wood was perfect to work on and getting an even burn was made so much easier by the good quality and finish of the wood used to make the box. When doing wood-burning this type of surface is ideal. Due to the smooth surface, you could leave this box as just beautiful natural wood, do pyrography as I did, or add varnishes or paints and have a lovely even final finish.
I would definitely recommend this product!
