My daughter is preparing her A level Arts peice and is using vast quantities of Gutterman 234 tread. I have had to source a lot of the thread at very short notice, using expedited delivery. Hobby craft were the first to get the thread to us, using Royal Mail, which do deliver on Saturdays unlike my other sources. The only downside was that they only had stock to supply 7 reels of thread, but I was very pleased that their website made it absolutely clear how much they could supply.
So far as I can tell the Gutterman thread is good quality, and my much more decreeing daughter is very pleased with it.

Good quality thread
My daughter used reels of this thread for her A level art project. She found it very easy to work with it on her Bernina machine and of good quality. Although she only used one colour , the range looked excellent.

I always use this brand if possible....can usually find a good match and like the design of the spool because it holds thread in place better than other brands
