This Hemline Sew-In Heat Resistant Compressed Wadding is a heavyweight, flame retardant, voluminous non-woven fleece that is ideal for patchwork and quilting, duvets, clothing and upholstery. It’s suitable for all fabrics and can be sewn in easily.

Choose exactly the amount of wadding you need. To select the length of your chosen wadding, just change the quantity to the number of metres you require. It will be sent to you as a single length of material, up to a maximum of 25 metres.

Please note: This item is excluded from our returns policy as, once cut, it is no longer in a resaleable condition.

Essentially, I had just finished sewing the fabric inside out, and I was just ironing the corners of the top fabric before turning it to its right side, and the batting underneath glued onto the top fabric. The top fabric was cotton, but the iron was set to silk temperature. I wouldn’t say it’s heat resistant..

It’s being used on the children’s PULL & PUSH Model Railway at Chinnor Railway Station, Oxfordshire. This wadding is also to be used on the Winter Wonderland Railway at the same location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lorene from Not the best This is alright wadding for accessories, quilts and bags as it's quite sturdy however I will argue this is not suitable for clothing (e.g. jackets) as it is way too stiff. This makes garments way too rigid and uncomfortable to wear.
