Humbrol Enamel Matt Paint is perfect for modellers looking for a high quality, tough finish on every project.

With a huge range of colours available, it can be used for a wide range of art and crafts, on many surfaces and as a touch up or surface paint around the home and for DIY applications. It’s suitable for indoor or outdoor usage.

The solvent-based, fast-drying paint was developed for use on plastic model kits but can also be used on other substrates, including wood, glass, ceramics, metal, cardboard, sealed plaster, sealed hardboard and more.

Each 14ml tin covers approx. 0.3m² depending on thickness of application. It can be brushed on straight from the tin, or you can apply using an airbrush with a suitable thinner. Two thin coats are preferable to one thick coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gulogulo from Humbrol Grey primer. A useful alternative to spray or acrylic brush on primers. I prefer Matt black enamel when priming large models but grey works well with figures. It has the pluses and minuses of all enamels; smell, toxicity, drying time. Excellent coverage because it does not pool, and with no surface tension it gets into all the recesses on the model. Like every tin of enamel for decades, the odds of ever finishing a tin before it dries up are appalling.
