How to make
Cut out a heart in card to use as a template. Draw around the template twice on the fabric then cut out two hearts.
Trim a length of twine 160cm then make a small loop each end. Create a bunting flag template from card.
Trim two lengths of hessian fabric 10cm then wrap around the large jars, trimming to fit and gluing in place. Repeat with a 4cm width piece of hessian on the small jar.
Trim striped fabric 10cm wide, fold a 1cm seam to the back along the top and bottom then iron flat. Attach to one large jar, trimming to fit. Add hessian hearts and a twine bow on top.
Trim gingham fabric 8cm wide, fold a fold a 1cm seam to the back along the top and bottom then iron flat. Attach to the other large jar, trimming to fit. Trim another length of gingham fabric 3cm wide, sew a running stitch along one end then gather up.
Sew the sides of the gathered fabric to create a rosette. Sew a hessian heart and button in the centre. Wrap twine around the jar then glue the rosette on top. Wrap and glue twine around the top.
Trim heart fabric 4cm wide, fold a fold a 1cm seam to the back along the top and bottom then iron flat. Attach to the small jar, trimming to fit. Wrap twine around the top then add a twine bow.
