Step 1

Decide what coloured pots you'd like to make and gather your different pigments.

Mix up your resin according to the instructions, stirring slowly and continuously until the mixture goes crystal clear and then add a drop of your pigments in to make the resin coloured, mix again. Mixing the resin sufficiently is key to it setting.

Step 2

You can experiment with making your own colours in the resin just as you would with mixing paints, just use a drop each of the colours and mix within the pot.

Step 3

Once you're happy with the colours, pour the mixture into the moulds making sure the resin fills it right up to the top.

Tip: Make sure your mould is positioned on a flat surface to ensure the resin stays flat and level, so that your pot doesn't wobble.

Leave the resin mixture to set overnight.

Step 4

Once the resin has set, carefully remove the vases from the mould and use a POSCA pen to add your lettering.

To get a decorative feel to your lettering , position each of the letters so that they sit at different levels, for example for the word 'Love', the 'L' sits lower, the 'o' higher, 'v' lower and 'e' higher, this will give movement to your wording.

Tip: Pause in between each letter, and take your time.

Step 5

Your vases are now ready to use, fill with dried flowers and display in pride of place in your home.
