How to make

You will also need:

* Cricut Design Space app installed on a laptop, PC, Tablet, or mobile device.

* Cable ties

Step 1

Add your vinyl to the sign using your chosen font and words – for this project I've used sign blanks which I built myself from scrap wood and Cricut Black Permanent vinyl.

Step 2

Using cable ties, add your floral block to the top of the sign to make sure it stays securely in place.

When you're happy everything is secure, start adding in your flowers starting at the bottom with the bigger pampas grasses so they drape nicely over the top of the sign – you may need to cut the stems down to make sure they fit the width of your sign.

Step 3

Once the bottom third of the sign is full, pull the pampas apart so you can see the main stem, and snip the grass in half so you have some slightly smaller pieces.

Continue to do this so you start to make the block feel fuller.

Step 4

Open design space and on a blank canvas draw a circle then resize it to 10cm in the top toolbar, then add a score line across the middle of the circle horizontally.

Step 5

Select both the circle and the score line, in the Layers panel select 'Attach'. Once complete select 'Make it'.

On the mat preview screen, duplicate the project six times and click 'Continue'.

On the cut screen, select the relevant cutting setting and follow the on-screen instructions to cut the design.

Step 6

Once your project is cut, weed the circles from the card and gently fold along the score line.

Repeat steps 6 - 7 again so you have enough to make two balls.

Step 7

Glue the first set of circles together and repeat until all of them are connected – leave to dry.

Once the circles are dry, run a line of glue down the spin of the paper ball and then take a lollipop stick and place this down the centre in the glue – leave to dry.

Once this is dry, glue one of the open edges of the circle and connect this together – you might need to use a peg or a bulldog clip to keep these in place while they dry.

Step 8

Once both the paper balls are dry, go back to your floral block and place them in so they fill the top left area.

Step 9

Now using the shorter stems of pampas, fill the last remaining gap on the floral block and you have your completed sign.

Step 10

Repeat this for as many signs as you need to keep everything on theme for your big day.
