How to Crochet an Autumn Textured Snood - Free Pattern

* Women's Institute Soft and Chunky Yarn 100g - Mustard x 2 (Yarn A) and Cream (Yarn B)

10 sts and 6 rows to 10cm using 10mm hook over pattern

Ch – chain
Htr – half treble crochet
St – stitch
Ss – slip stitch
FLO – front loop only
BLO – back loop only
How to make
Using 'Yarn A' and 10mm hook ch28.
Row 1: Htr into BLO of 3rd ch from hook, *1htr into FLO of next st, 1htr into BLO of next st, rep from * until 1 st remains, 1htr into FLO of last st, turn. (26sts)
Row 2: 2ch (does not count as st here or throughout) *1htr into FLO of next st, 1htr into BLO of next st, rep from * to end, turn.
Row 3: 2ch, *1htr into BLO of next st, 1htr into FLO of next st, rep from * to end, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until work measures 80cm.
Using mattress st, sew the short ends of the snood together.
With RS facing and using 'Yarn A', join yarn with a ss to the seam.
Row 1: 1ch (does not count as st), dc evenly arond the edge of the snood (approx. 70 dc), ss to beginning of round. Change to 'Yarn B'.
Row 2: 1ch, 1 dc into each st, ss to beginning of round. Fasten off.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 on the other side of the snood.
Sew in all ends.
