Rated 3 out of 5 by Queen1 from Good for short term but plastic better They do the job intended ie storage of threads but would have preferred to get plastic holders as they last longer. There were no plastic ones available, it would appear my local H.C is quite often short on items (out of stock) I don't know if I am just unlucky or they don't restock often. As a result I have used them as a temporary measure and have ordered plastic ones via a different web site,which I have to wait for,which is what I did not want to do in the first place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnieC from useful and good value for money Cards make embroidery threads much easier to manage in the workbox: they're less likely to unravel or get separated from their shade numbers, easier to keep in some kind of organised sequence, and therefore much quicker to identify. I sometimes make my own cards, but it's not so easy to achieve the consistent shape that's ideal for storage purposes. (And I must admit, there's something quite satisfying about time spent winding on embroidery cottons!)

They are a great size and I like that I can write the colour codes straight onto them! As they are cardboard the more you use them, they are more likely to tear but overall they are great quality and you get a good amount in a pack!

These card bobbins are a simple cheap and effective way to store and use thread. I also purchased a cheap plastic winder to make loading the thread neater and easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SalJay from Ideal for purpose I find these cards ideal when used to store embroidery floss, the 'softer and more giving' edges to not indent on the floss and therefore keep the threads smooth and easy to use. They are also easy to write the colour code on and make for easy storage in a suitable sized box

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wops11 from Poor, compared with plastic embroidery bobbins Picked up cardboard ones by mistake as someone had put them back on wrong hook! Will exchange as I find the cardboard ones are too flimsy and ends bend over easily with use. Have had to replace many when in constant use, otherwise they are ok for occasional use.
