Great for fine detail cleaning
As an ex aircraft fitter I have used these fibre pens to clean aircraft components mainly aluminium for prior to crack testing processes. They are very effective for surface prep behfore using glue or other joining methods. One word on safety try to contain any dust from the process as fibres will come away from the pen as you work dont be temted to blow away the residue, Use a soft paint brush onto a sheet of paper and then dispose of safely.

Precision cleaning of metal
I used this not for model-making but to clean an awkward chrome hinge in the bathroom. It was green with tarnish, difficult to reach and I'd not had luck in the past with metal-cleaning creams. This gadget could be directed precisely and rubbed off the worst of the green corrosion - I could see the fibreglass/powdered corrosion coming off like a mist, so was careful not to inhale the superfine dust created. Have to seal the surface now.

Perfect for what intended to do
Used similar items before and works very well, use it for cleaning my model railway locomotives and the result was outstanding, I really liked the fact it has a propelling pencil action,by which I was able to adjust the amount of bristles on show. money well spent and a great asset to my tool box

A vey useful tool
Just so useful for removing plastic burrs and flashing when making models. Much neater than a craft knife and easier to control. Excellent for "weathering" model railway items too.

A tool no serious hobbyist should be without
Along with many various types of abrasive cleaners this must be top of the list. it is not harsh when it comes to polishing metal parts, yet it is small enough to clean even the smallest areas such as metal contacts, and replacement tips are also available.
