I bought myself a set of these last year when I was wanting modelling tools to go with my FIMO polymer clay I was using for Christmas crafts. I know these tools are designed for use with cake decorating...BUT they basically do the exact same job as clay modelling tools and cost a fraction of the price. I've since purchased a second set as part of a modelling clay gift set we made up for my cousin's birthday. I'd highly recommend these tools for this purpose...and although I haven't done it I'm sure they are great for cake decorating as well.

When I rolled the ball pen, the head of it was not was stable so it seems quite loose and hard to control the strength you put in it. But for the price I wouldn't complain. I will buy a metal ball pen and use these for more detailed work.
