Great Product!
Never used Black Gesso before and was really excited to try this out. Covers the canvases really well and dries to look fab. Only slight downside is that the paint was literally leaking out once opened and upside down, no need to squeeze at all! So be careful first time you go to use it!

High viscosity
First time using Pebeo acrylic and I am extremely pleased, it really is high viscosity, a rich creamy constancy this offers good depth of colour with a single layer straight from the tube, I would definitely recommend this product and at the current sale price it is excellent value

Worked well
I'm a beginner oil painter and I wanted to try painting on a black canvas, so I bought this gesso to prime a white canvas. I thought it was a good price for the amount of paint, and I didn't need a lot of paint to cover the canvas so I feel it will last a while.

An excellent product
I use this black gesso to prime my canvas prior to acrylic or oil painting as it has excellent covering power and when applied with a rag doesn't show brush marks .I have recommended this to several friends who have also purchased and agree with my comments.

Particularly good for object painting
I haven’t used this to paint on paper or flat surfaces however this is great for painting figures and objects, it applies easily, dries quickly and no streaks even when brushing vigorously.

Great base
The gesso is fab. I used it as a base to colour changing paint. Gives a nice smooth surface. Covers well. Recommended for any black background
