Disappointing
This was a badly put together and disappointing little kit. The diagram is very confusing, with 2 symbols for each colour. In my kit I had lots of the bright red thread, but only one length of the darker red/burgundy, which was nowhere near enough to fill the required stitches. So I had to make a round trip to Hobbycraft, not local to me, in order to buy a skein of the darker red in order to finish the kit, which cost me more than the kit did in the first place! Not even worth £1.50 I'm sorry to say. And, like other reviewers of this product, I am not a beginner and have completed many more complex kits. Do Not Buy This would be my advice.

Poor & Disappointing
I have been cross stitching for over 25yrs & was very disappointed with this cross stitch kit & the two others of different designs. The colour of the threads did not match to the poor quality of the graph. Must have been very cheaply produced. It would not be for a novice. Will never buy these kits again.

Chart to small to follow
Unable to define which colours are which on the small chart. Very dissappoitec as I thought it would be so easy to follow. The colours on the chart all run into 1 and it is difficult to read. It would be better to use numbers. Can understand why they are reudced in price now. Ended up the the bin.

Could do better
Pattern is not clear. Would be better if the number of silks of each colour is detailed, ie 1 yellow, 1 dark red, 3 medium red etc….
I am not a novice and the pattern had 2 columns for each colour. It was not clear why this was done like this?

Poinsettia cross stitch card
I agree with the other reviews. I too am not a novice but instructions/colour of threads were impossible to decipher. I more or less made the pattern up myself which was not ideal. Would not buy this again.

Fabulous pattern
Loved this one! I really loved the pattern (pay attention on the green arms though cos one bends differently) I am new to cross stitch and learned a lot from doing this one. I ended up doing it again with different shade threads to the ones supplied, for more contrast. I have made two now for gifts and will be reusing the pattern many times in the future.

Awful design and kit
I have been cross stitching for nearly 40 years, and bought this kit to make a quick and easy card for a friend. I wish I had read the reviews before buying, but it was an impulse purchase!
After stitching the yellow centre, I almost lost the will to continue!
The needle is too big for the holes, and it was a struggle to put 8 threads - 4 doubles, that is - plus the needle through each one.
There are no proper instructions about how to either cross-stitch or make French knots, and the chart is confusing, and not really any better than the picture on the box.
I would not have liked to stitch this as a beginner, but at least I have some finer needles to substitute. which have made life easier. However, I am not sure the end result will be worth the effort.
In the past, I have had some lovely mini-kits from Hobbycraft, but this one was certainly not up to the standard I have come to expect. I wondered if it had been AI generated, and no living person at source had ever stitched it!
