Rated 3 out of 5 by Kathry from Disappointed On returning home with my click and collect order, I found that the plastic box with the sewing kit in was broken on the corner. After phoning the store they said they would put another one out for me to collect. After returning home for the second time, I removed the cellophane covering and the plastic hinge fell off making the lid fall off completely and useless! I was really annoyed by this time as I would have thought that the sales assistant would have checked for any damage before putting it out for me. Unfortunately, I was not about to make a third trip to the store so I am now stuck with a totally unusable box for my sewing kit.

As a beginner, I joined a sewing group and was told that the thread was not great quality and that as the bobbins are not specific to my machine I would need to transfer to the bobbins with my machine. The thread cutter is not sharpe enough to cut anything. It looks nice, however I managed to damage the case when I first opened it as it was very stiff and now does not close properly. The white pencil can not be seen on fabric. I would have returned it if I had paid full price. I have basically got a pair of scissors and some pins and a needle threader. It would have been better for me to buy the items individually.

Top; A wide selection of threads,including coloured,with matching bobbins,elastic threads and tape and a stitch ripper. Bottom; ’Velcro’,studded tape,hand sewing needles,needle threader,cashmere yarns, (sturdy)scissors,60 inch tape measure,chalk pencil,pins,machine needles(universal and jeans),safety pins,thimble and to the side,two ‘mystery’ items,a hole maker for stud clasps(perhaps?) and a hooked gripper ‘thing’!

Thus I couldnt gift it in the state that it was in (That was its intended purpose) and I couldn't find another compact case so all the bits were gifted together and not lost. It does come with a lot of bits and bots that are necessary for making lots of different things though. So worth the purchase from instore rather then online.
