The Purelite Table Magnifying Lamp is the perfect hobby lamp for your home or workspace! The light gives you a natural daylight effect while the magnification ensures you can see every detail of your craft and work projects.

With touch sensitive light controls and a four-setting dimmer switch, you'll be able to achieve the perfect lighting for every project. This lamp also has a flexible neck for precise and easy positioning, and when you wish to only use the lamp, there is a lens cover for the magnifier.

The magnifier has an optical quality lens that offers three and five times magnification. See the finest of detail with perfect clarity, allowing you to work for much longer without straining your eyes. There is less glare from the light, ensuring less damage is done to long-term vision.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rainbowminiatures from good magnification and the led lighting is nice and bright As a professional miniaturist I need good magnification for my tiny creations, I purchased this one as it claimed to be 3x magnification ,but I found if you get your face too close to the glass while working it can feel warm as I found I was pressing my nose on the rim a lot which I found got in the way especially for those of us who spend a long time using magnifiers ,the led lights are nice and bright and can be switched to 4 different levels and it comes with a 5x spot in the lens for close up work ,a heavy base stops it from tipping and it can be bent into different positions ,overall it will come in useful but I still would prefer a rimless one and separate light

Rated 4 out of 5 by Angiebear69 from Bright and accurate. I recently bought this magnfication lamp, reluctantly I may add as I loved my last one but it died on me after several years. I have found the height of this one better and the option to have 4 different strengths of light and the longer power cord better than my old one. A nice slim base which I can poison on or close to my craft projects.The only criticism is the magnifying glass, I would prefer if it was a little bigger as i struggle to position and focus and my eye often falls into the x5 magnification spot. Other than that, a good buy and I am not dissapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevt from Purelite Table Magnifying lamp is the best My original magnifying lamp with circular fluorescent tube went pop, I tried to get a replacement tube and found one after spending ages on the web but while buying paint brushes at Hobbycraft store I noticed a similar lamps with 4 variable light settings, the best thing I did was to purchase said lamp, it is great when painting different subjects, i.e. day or night time scenes, plus the light emitted from it is so fresh. A happy customer, highly recommended

He had been secretly watching me painting my stones, a little hobby I've been doing since last May, and had apparently seen me struggling to get the very intricate and tiny details right. (My eyes aren't what they used to be!) Well, when I gave the PURElite Magnifying Lamp a go, I felt very silly for not thinking of buying one of these earlier! It has 4 settings for the brightness of the lamp, perfect for days when the natural light changes with the weather. It's also great for taking photos, as it illuminates your projects perfectly. The magnifying lens is great when doing very fine lines, gives you the extra confidence to paint accurately, and there is a smaller lens inside the big one for even closer viewing. It also has a handy slide cover for the lens, to stop it getting dusty. It has a lovely sleek look to it too, so not some ugly piece of tabletop ware you need to hide! This has truly been one of my favourite gifts from my husband.

The only problem we may have in the future will be obtaining a replacement tube light. Hobby craft don't stock this item, and cannot find online. However the Information on the box states that light should last up to 30,000 Hours so fingers crossed. But still a Fantastic Product. would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Economummy from Magnificent .... mums delighted!! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mum.... I've seen her struggling lately trying to work on her needle craft and crochet. Sometimes she was holding her work right under her nose just so she could see it!! Enough is enough i thought and worrying about the strain she was putting on her eyes I decided to do something about it. I went to the Westwood Cross HC and the staff there were very helpful. I had read other reviews on this light so knew it would be a good choice. When my mum opened her present she was really impressed.The quality is very good, feels very sturdy. There are various grades of light to select and we were both surprised with how bright the light can go. The fact that this is mains powered is great, so many craft lights seem to be USB now (not good if you don't have a USB point to plug it in) The magnification is also very good my only concern was that the 5x magnification part of the lense is very small. This did not deter my mum and she said its perfect for her hobbies. Mum is really happy with her new craft tool and her eyes are enjoying the well earned rest too :)

The lamp is flexible, comes with 4 different light options which are great for daytime and nighttime, and has a very sleek design. I bought this lamp as I was getting headaches from painting without a lamp, and this lamp allows me to control the amount of light I get so I don't get any headaches from painting. Would highly recommend, a very good investment.
