Turns out, I probably would have been better for me if I had rolled it out myself because when I opened up the packet and unrolled the plastic it was stuck onto, the plastic had actually been rolled in such a way that the marzipan had been sliced almost all the way through. Having little choice but to bodge it together, I then found that the fruit cake I had made was too big, even though it was an 8" cake. The cake depth I made was 3.5", so for reference for others, that is too deep for this. I simply rolled it out and carried on. The biggest issue for me was having to mould it back together. Hopefully, I have just been unlucky with this product and this doesn't happen normally. But with the experience I have had, I probably wouldn't get this again.
