Pretty character cushion.
10 year old grand daughter found making this kit a bit tricky so I would put the age of ability as higher.
The felt is quite soft and a bit thin so not too firm which causes stretching when putting the stuffing in. My grand daughter did back-stitch but in order to stop the stretching I would recommend doing running stitch then another row of running stitch covering the gaps - will look like backstitch on the front but not the back.
I did have to do a bit of extra stitching for her where there were some gaps.
She is delighted with the finished product and has added it to her collection of felt cushions purchased from Hobby Craft, she has made.

This sew your own sea horse was fairly easy and the instructions were really clear. I had a great time putting this little cutey together.

Cute!
I brought this as a gift for my sister. She's obsessed with all things mermaids. She loved this. And enjoyed having a go at putting it together. It is one to be done with an adult however. As can be a little tricky. But would recommend getting it as it is actually so cute. Good quality material. Could maybe do with extra thread though to save been stingy on the stitching.

Enjoyable little project for beginners
I brought this as an adult to practice hand stitching, found the instructions slightly confusing but I was able to work it out, not sure an 8 yr old would be able to complete it without assistance from an adult unless they have completed this type of project before

Lovely when finished - some adult help needed.
A 9 year old needed some help - one or two pre-cut holes were missing and help was needed to align them all. Also needed help starting and finishing each length of thread. But she loved doing it and the finished article is excellent and much admired.

Lockdown Activity
Having had many of these kits over lockdown my daughter wanted to complete this seahorse, unfortunately the instructions were not very good and she needed help. Such as shame as it is so cute.

Lovely sewing project
My 11 year old daughter managed to do this by herself, but it was a bit tricky. A younger child would need help. It looks lovely when finished.

Turned out ok
Quite fiddly for an 8 year old but turned out ok. Needed a lot more thread than what was provided. Instructions could have been clearer
