Sharp, durable and comfortable.
This scalpel was absolutely the perfect cutting tool I was looking for and it has made my modelling so much easier to complete. The stainless steel shaft is designed well ergonomically and has a pretty decent grip to it. The connection of the blade to the shaft is actually much easier than expected which was a relief and it is held in place very well. Each blade is packaged in it's own wrapper for safety and durability and they last a long time. The blade itself is very sharp and cuts through most softer materials with great ease. I would recommend this scalpel to anyone who needs a precise cutting tool as the value for money is astounding!

Fantastic cut
I have seen other experts using these when demonstrating so am extremely pleased that Hobbycraft retails them. They are located in the model making section of the store. The cut is precise and clean. They are not as expensive as other retailers which was a bonus!

A go to craft knife
Swann-Morton are my go to craft knife and have been for over thirty years now. The blades are sharp and easy to affix and cut almost any material. I use them for model making but they should be in any crafters or artists kit. Just the best!

Top quality
I've heard people praise Swann Morton scalpels before, so I decided to try one for my modelling. The handle is nicely shaped and weighted so that it sits comfortably in your hand. The blades lock in securely and are really sharp (be careful).

a really good craft knife for card
I think this is the best and most controllable knife for paper and card. Been using this type for thirty years! You have to get used to putting the blades in, and the angle that works best to use it, but once you do no other knife is as good.

Sharp
Good product, not too pricey. This is a good brand so glad it is stocked at hobbycraft. Cheaper to buy online but good to see the stock and choose in a hurry.

Spot on
Bought this for creating stencils. Works perfectly well on card, paper, acetate and tracing paper. Still on the first blade after around ten stencils.
