Boxes are rubbish
I KNEW how rubbish these were from the last time I bought one and I threw it away rather than use it. But I was in a fix and had to put the cakes into something, so spent £4 PER BOX to be thoroughly affirmed in my previous thought. Absolute rubbish. DO NOT BUY.
The cardboard is barely more than a thick glossy paper, the 'hooks' that fold into the slits are flimsy and slip out of the construction easily, the sides of the box fold inwards towards your precious creation threatening to poke into it.
Hobbycraft should read the reviews - or maybe try them for real with a cake inside as a customer would and see if they'd trust their hard work to the product. I already know the answer.

Don’t waste your money
This cake box is so thin and flimsy certainly not worth the price … I could have got 4 robust ones at my local supermarket if I had known

Flimsy & Unstable
The cardboard was ridiculous thin so the sides were REALLY FLIMSY, the lid constantly fell off. I was terrified the cake was going to come out of the box during transportation.Most stressful car ride of my life!! I’ve bought cheaper cake boxes than this that have more structural integrity
Bought this box in a pinch because I didn’t have time to get elsewhere Never again.

Very poor quality
This box is very poor quality. Very thin card, that would not stay closed without tape. The box actually came undone, whilst transporting the cake, which slid across the boot of the car, but thankfully was not damaged. Hobbycraft boxes and boards used to be so much better, until they introduced their own brand. Will not be buying again.
