Winsor and Newton inks come in fabulous rich colours
Winsor and Newton inks are available in a range of bright transparent colours and Black Indian ink. They are not lightfast but have many other attributes making them invaluable to the artist. They can be watered down and applied by brush or pen. I like to use them with multimedia - inktense, watercolour and coloured pencils on top or with acrylic ink on top of textured paper. Indian ink is a fantastic medium which can be watered down to provide a range from black to grey and silvery grey, it also dries as permanent as do the other shellac based ink products which is very useful.

Not colourfast
I bought these inks as I wanted to paint a vibrant, colourful piece for my living room. I was advised by a lovely young lady about the product and purchased 16 bottles for myself and 8 for a present, 4 water brushes and some excellent multimedia paper.
I have been experimenting with the inks, which work well with the water brushes. However the red fades to almost invisible after a few days, admittedly left in the sun, but that wont do for my final piece.
I'll continue to experiment with them, but disappointed they weren't up to the task.
Unfortunately the isn't an option to submitt before and after photos.

Vibrant inks that go a long way
These drawing inks are fast-drying, water resistant and transparent - they can be used with a brush or a dip pen. They have good pigmentation and vibrant colours. Can dilute the colour with water and a little ink goes a long way.
Advice to anyone buying would be to cleaning the top of the pots before closing, so they don’t dry up and make it difficult to reopen.

winsor ink set - yellow ink dry
Bought this product from hobby craft last week and the yellow ink was completely empty and dried up. Disappointed as quite an expensive purchase.

Great
I bought this under the advice of a member of staff and have used it to add colour to resin as I wanted some great pigment and it has worked brilliantly
