A great piece for mixed media work
A good solid base for your mixed media creations. Gesso and inks apply easily giving a good even coverage. You can stencil onto it using texture paste and apply various art mediums.
It is a perfect size for first attempts at mixed media- room to let your imagination run free but not so big as to be overwhelming. Great value for money.

Great shape and smooth surface, easy to paint
I,ve recently done some shelves for my grandchildren,s bedroom and looked everywhere for some ends to finish them off, so I thought I would check Hobbycraft. I was so pleased to find the perfect size and shape of wood panels and now I,ve painted them in pink and blue and they r ready for use.

I purchased this item to do woodburning on it.Smooth surface,excellent for the purpose.Only one downside-It's very thin.Because of this the shape can warp slightly.
Despite this, will definitly be use it again.

Was amazing for a gift
I bought this for a friend who recently postponed her wedding and wrote on it with a Pyrography wood burner. The wood was smooth and easy to write on and more importantly she loved the gift.

Perfect for pyrography

I’ve since bought another 2, they work well with the hobbycraft acrylic paints. Used cricut vinyl to put a design onto and sticks perfectly to the wood :-)
