Flimsy box
I bought this for a cake on a 12" board. It's very flimsy, the bits that slot together to create the box don't really stay in place and the lid is so shallow that it pops off every time you touch the sides of the box which is not ideal especially when transporting a cake. The other boxes that hobbycraft used to sell were much more sturdy and reliable. I do not recommend this product.

Cardboard should be thicker.
Okay for storing a cake but the cardboard is not strong enough and quite flimsy, which makes it difficult to transport. I ended up lining the bottom with another piece of cardboard from a delivery box but then the flaps kept popping out, so I had to use masking tape to tape them down. I did manage to transport the cake but the box could have been so much better if the cardboard had been thicker!

Waste of money.
I got this cake box 3 weeks ago. What a waste of money! It was so flimsy and was not sturdy at all. The flaps you have to slot in at the sides were difficult to slot into and the flaps ended up tearing apart. It was not a secure box at all.. you couldn't use this box for transporting a cake.

These boxes are still so flimsy
Considering the amount of reviews over the past year or so the feedback has obviously not go to the right place...these boxes are so flimsy still & not at all suitable to package up a Cake especially a heavy 8" or 10". The quality needs to be looked into still.

Poor Quality Boxes
These are now packaged differently but thought that I was buying a similar product. These new boxes are inferior to the ones that Hobbycraft used to stock. They are flimsy, do not hold together once assembled and barely support the cakes inside.

Cake box
Bought this box for a 12" cake, with it's board.
Way too flimsy and not a good construction either. Would not trust transporting , say a wedding cake in this box, made of a way to light card!! Wouldn't recommend 🙁

Rubbish item
Absolute waste of money, product has been changed now so flimsy I have ripped 2 boxes trying to get them closed and why now use plastic to package them when you didn’t use to do this won’t be buying anymore

New design isn’t good
New design. side flap/panel is too short so doesn’t stay closed. The lid used to be one piece, now that has the flap/panels on so is the same, doesn’t stay closed and it falls off. Awful new design.
