I wanted to create storage boxes for the top of my kitchen cabinets, you know to store out of sight the stuff you don't use often, but still need. I painted cardboard boxes with white chalk paint, then stencilled the fronts, and used black ribbon to simulate handles. Nobody believes these were just cardboard boxes I got from work. The stencil was easy to use, and the result was good. The only thing I would warn about is the joints between the letters are extremely fragile on the stencil and I accidentally damaged the join very easily. I will have to be very,very careful if I use it again. But the boxes looks lovely, and I would buy again if I needed another stencil.

Glad the shop is back open.
Prior to lockdown I didn’t ever use hobby craft. I always assumed The common online market was more convenient in price and availability. However once the store fully opened recently I have become a massive fan. I was dubious at first but as soon as I went in I felt prices were fair and reasonable. The stock available is more than what your average crafter would need and the staff are approachable and welcoming. The fact that you get 15% off after your first shop had me return 2 days later instead of using another local shop which is within the same retail park. Typically I would use the other shop for things such as spray paints but at hobby craft you have a much wider variety and so I will remain a customer indefinitely. On these instances I bought fabric and stencils, both of which I didn’t find in any other local craft related stores so I feel this review is deserving.

Excellent stencil
I would recommend this to anyone doing up-cycling as it’s a lovely touch to any furniture it can also be adapted and your own words put in as I did and it looked perfect. It’s reusable as well which is great and will last a while. It washes clean easily with cool soapy water.

Love this stencil
I bought this stencil as I am into Stencil art and I love it. It works beautifully with chalk and acrylic paints and it cleans easily. Hobbycraft, PLEASE, stock more stencils!!!! Word and phrase stencils too, PLEASE!

this stencil was great in price and usage. easy to use , tried with paints, sprays and inks. very easy to clean off any residue. stencil was easy to cut down to my preferred size.

Fab priced would like to see more variation in stencils but I’m very happy with this product as it’s thicker than most stencils
