Smooth & dry
All of these beads range from Hobbycraft are great, all dry and smooth! Very easy to paint on, I've used acrylic paint on them and they look great. I did buy in store and saw them in person to choose the sizes.

Unvarnished wooden beads
I bought two sizes of these beads, large and medium. I intend to cover them in off cuts from a patchwork quilt as a keepsake as the quilt is a gift. Looking forward to completing both projects.

Lovely wooden balls
I wanted to finish of the pole on the top of my quilted advent calendars, these wooden balls were perfect, easily drilled for a larger hole to fit the pole.
