Too fragile
I bought one of these for my son. He was very excited to complete it (having enjoyed previous kits). Firstly, there is significantly less thread than the older sets, which is disappointing as he often wants to change the design and not copy the picture on the packaging. My son completed the body, gave it to me to tie off the thread and an antenna snapped with next to no force being applied. This was upsetting for my son, having spent his time doing it and enjoying it. I promised I’d buy a new one.
New one bought, my son went to remove it from the packaging and both antenna snapped off! I rarely write a bad review but thought I would to say I’d save your money on this one and not bother. I know it’s only £2 but the disappointment for my son was more upsetting than anything.

A waste of money
Poor quality product, even if it cost £1. Bought this for a 5 year old as I thought it might get her interested in sewing. Sadly it had the opposite effect. The picture on the box suggested a colourful butterfly was the end result of this little kit.
Inside, we found the wooden outline to be a bit rough - in fact the antenna was broken as well. The three threads provided were rather dull and represented more of a night time Moth than a butterfly. And the needle? At first we thought it was missing but that was because it was made from clear nylon and very difficult to see.
Sadly the fiver year old looked at it with disdain and really did not even want to try sewing.
It would have been taken back, but the cost of getting to our local store worked have been more than the value of the refund!

Lovely for littlies!
I recall learning to sew with a kit so thought this will be nice for grandchild. The needle is very flimsy or I’d have given five stars
