Fantastic buy
This item is brilliant, the designs it has save a lot in time. Its ideal for creating grass features, hair, trees, even wood like features. I find it works best with magic foam clay. It is a bit easier on your hands. Less strain. But the effects it creates are fantastic and so simple. You can use air drying clay too with brilliant results. Just remember to clean it when you have finished. Be aware that the grass feature disc tends to look like spder legs when it comes from the gun. Be brave though the end result is spectactular. Instructions could be a little clearer but have a play with it and its easy to work out.

A simple little gadget that gives great results
A very handy product for using with clay or fimo. The different size discs produce perfect squares or tubes. I just wish they had more choice of patterns.

Not suitable for polymer or mineral clay
The calibre of the barrel is too big for the plunger, so coloured clay is left smeared up the barrel (which is too narrow to easily clean). The finger piece is too small and the pressure required to press even the softest clay out of the largest holes makes the whole thing un-usable. Sorry.

Not great
Difficult and sore on my hands to use. Even with both clay and extruder warm from being in my hands it’s very difficult to push the clay through (Fimo Soft)

Brilliant new tool for clay
I bought this to make air-dried clay jewellery and it's brilliant. Works like the old-fashioned cookie cutter. It's clean and sharp with lots of different designs. Ideal. Would highly recommend.

Don’t bother, you can find objects in house!
Thought this would be useful as I’m new to clay. Found it too awkward to use. Not enough variety in the plates either as they are the same just different sizes. Hard to clean too.

Clay extruder
I purchased this clay extruder to make shapes with polymer clay. If the clay is soft enough the extruder works fine but with more expensive brands of clay such a fimo which tend to be a little tougher it becomes very difficult to extrude. The mechanics of it aren’t kind to hands so after a lot of pushing they tend to become sore. If I were to buy one again I’d get the screw ones and not the push version like this.
