Too small for 5 x 5 cards and envelopes
Not fit for purpose if you are ordering them for the 5 x 5 inch cards as they are too small for the envelopes.
Hard to understand why they are still being sold if this was flagged as an issue some time ago by others.
This was also the case for the 6 x 6 inch cards so there has been a major error of a few millimetres in the manufacturing which has resulted in a wide spread frustration with a whole lot of customers.
Imagine having to sort all that out. I feel sorry for the poor person who pressed the green button on the cello bag machine and churned out millions of mistakes.

Too small for the 5x5" card & envelope
My order just arrived and cello bags do not fit the 5x5" card & envelope. Too small!! I had read about the 6 x 6" cello bags being too small for the 6x6" card & envelopes but now find that the same problem with the 5x5" cello bags. I am only printing on the card so no 3D elements, the card fits but the envelopes don't! They are EXACTLY the same size as the envelope. Really disappointing even though the lovely lady who answered my call refunded the costs I still need to find cello bags. Surely there is some quality check on products being fit for purposes? It seems as if Hobbycraft commissioned a cello bag to fit the card when they should have ordered a product to fit the envelope. Not recommended.

Don’t fit matching 5x5 card/envelope pack
I bought these along with a pack of 50 5x5 cards yesterday, spent today card making, and went to put them in the bags and the envelopes don’t fit. It said for 5x5 cards and envelopes, and was the same make as them too. I’m really cross as I can’t easily get back to return them.

Too small
These bags are too small for the 5x5 inch envelopes from Hobbycraft! Despite being sold next to the cards on the shelf and being "designed to fit 5x5 cards and envelopes, the cards fit but the envelopes don't. I needed them for a last minute craft fair stall so exchanged them for the 6x6 bags (the girl who swapped them for me was lovely) but these were obviously too big, so I'll have to go elsewhere in future. Kind of baffling how there are so many reviews going back years talking about the same issue but Hobbycraft haven't made them so they actually fit yet!

Disappointed
I bought these and 5” x5” card stock with envelopes. The cello bags were only large enough to fit the card, but not quite big enough for the envelope. I’m now having to sell my finished cards in the cello bags with a separate envelope. This means they are open to damage and manhandling. I couldn’t return them as it would mean another journey of 25 miles. These bags are just too small for their intended use.

Staff always very helpful and if don’t know the answer to your question will always get other staff to help.
If you get a staff member who does your hobby they are so happy to share their tips and experience.
I really enjoy card making and all the papers etc. available in so many colours.

Rubbish far too small
The cello bags were too small to take your 5x5 envelopes. I will buy these elsewhere in the future. What is the point of having them on sale when they don't fit. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me so why wasn't it sorted?
