Great effect from this product
Bought this after seeing it in a promotional email from hobbycraft. It's great fun to use, but the on-pack instructions aren't great and I recommend looking on line for a demo as to how to use it in order to get the best from it. The instructions day to 'life's the powder, indicating you squeeze the bottle, but the Sonos say you should tap the bottom to get the powder out; bottle is too rigid to squeeze. This gold powder looks great but doesn't give them varied colours that you get from the other coloured powders. Looking forward to playing around with it more. You need to get a bottle to use to spray water to use this product, and you need a very fine spray. Unfortunately out local hobbycraft didn't sell such a bottle so I had to search further afield.

Varying results
I thought this would be really easy to use and it was but the result was a little unsatisfactory. The powder clumped a little when sprayed with water and despite shaking the tub ample times it didn’t come out in an even flow

Good
I like the effect that this product produces, but feel that having to make the paper wet causes the paper/card to crinkle. The dye also leached on to the inside of the card I was using the product on.
I'm not sure if this is due to my inexperience with using this product or whether this will always be a problem.
Despite these flaws I will continue to use this product.

Vivid colour good value
I've never used any type of shimmers before so didnt know what to expect. Really impressed with the colour and strong shimmer especially on black cardstock. Doesn't lose too much of its shine when really watered down either. Will buy more colours for sure.

Not sure what to expect
I'm very disappointed. It's not what I expected. The print is tiny and what it says is apply water then blow to add. It's dropper style top so I did a watercolor and put a bit of the powder on the blew on it as instructed and it ruined my painting.

Great results and such fun!
I love these Pixie Powders - such fun to play with and you never know what effects you will get! Great for creating backgrounds for cards or using to ‘colour in’ embossed outlines - fab! Just wish there was a wider range of colours stocked!

This gold colour is great for Christmas crafts and cards or special occasions. It’s so versatile and has so many different effects depending how is used. No two finished crafts are ever the same with pixie powders

When it has dried it has a really lovely shimmer to it. The only thing that I would say is don't squeeze the bottle but tap lightly on the bottom - it comes out better. I highly recommend this product.
