Love this little machine!
I had been thinking about whether or not to get this machine for a while as I already had the Cricut maker so wasn’t sure if I really needed it but then it was gifted to me by my amazing mum & I absolutely love it! It is so handy for doing small projects & in particular making cards which I did a lot with my maker but used a lot more materials and took a lot more time to do! With the Joy I can literally make a card in a few minutes. I recently had surgery & with the Joy I was still able to craft away to my hearts content from the comfort of my bed! It is so portable and definitely shouldn’t be underestimated, it’s a small but mighty little machine!! Highly recommend it!

Great intro to cricut
I’ve been looking at the cricut machines for a while but don’t have enough time to justify the more expensive and technical machines so I bought this one as an introduction. Really enjoyed it so far, just slightly difficult to get hold of items to use in it, which I assume is down to the popularity! Easy to use with the app and really easy to set up.
Just to note that a small standard grip mat is in the box. Which is really useful for when you’re just getting started.
I would say that, at the moment at least, there are a limited range of colours in the compatible pens. But actually so far this hasn’t been a problem.

Great little machine
Ive been making crafts for quite some time now Making quilts and mainly a lot of seeing projects how ever my partner needed loads of personalised things done for the business so we thought why not do it ourselves..This was my first ever Cricut machine..it’s a great little machine for a starter and it done exactly what we needed it too..unfortunately there seems to be quite. Limited as to what you can do with it which is abit sad and I do wish we had payed that little bit extra for one of the bigger Cricut machines so that I could use it more for the crafts that I do. But all in all for what it does it’s definitely worth it if your using it for more vinyl or iron on purposes!

Very versatile crafting machine.
This is a neat, small but very versatile machine. As yet I have only just started to gain familiarity with it but it has huge potential to do so many crafting projects. Some I had not even thought of. Yes you will need some instructions and practice to learn all of its capabilities but will be fun learning new skills. This came with a small bundle if useful items to bell you start. However, peach is not a colour vinyl I would have liked. Maybe a black or blue would have been more practical as a starter vinyl. A small quick set up booklet with crafting ideas would have been nice instead of all done on line. Overall this machine is a great buy.

Fantastic little machine
Only had this Cricut Joy for a week but I have already created 3 projects.
Easy to use the machine, virtually fool proof.
The small size means it will easily fit on shelfs, desks or tables out of the way.
Obviously it is no competition for the large Cricuts like the air or maker however if you are looking for something just to create smaller projects, cards, stickers and you don't have the room or the budget for larger Cricuts, then the Joy is perfect.
Deffinatly worth the money

Disappointed.
Very disappointed. So much material is wasted. Card is not cut through so when you take it off the card matt parts of the design just tear off, even though I’ve used higher pressure setting. Same with smart vinyl. I’ve had to throw away two sheets because what I printed just didn’t come off right - the design came off with the vinyl so destroyed the image I’d cut… This has happened a few times and put it down to me getting used to using the machine but it seems to be happening everyone. Gel pen also doesn’t discharge the ink properly leaving parts of any drawn designs blank… Something’s wrong with this machine.

Life changing
I know my title sounds over the top, but it’s really not. I’ve very poor health and house bound. I’m rarely well enough to sit in my craft room and the maker isn’t exactly mobile. I’m part of an amazing Cricut community and absolutely love seeing everyone’s creations, but envy is always there. I’ve had JOY for week and so far I’ve crafted in my bed, on the couch and even my mum inlaw who is not great with gadgets, has used it with ease to make a card for her friend. I can now create along with the community I’m part off. I LOVE IT! I know I’ve said this many times, but I truely mean it. Thank You Ashish and the amazing team at Cricut who invented, tested and marketed JOY, to the staff at Hobbycraft who didn’t mind me pressing my nose up against the window to see the display whilst waiting for the doors to open on release day and the cashiers for understanding and sharing in my excitement. They was so excited for me that I didn’t have the heart to tell them it’s not called a Crycut lol

Small but mighty
Don't underestimate what the Cricut Joy can do! This is not only a great starter cutting machine but experts will also appreciate its size and portability giving it a place the the craft rooms of newbies and seasoned cricut users.
Design space is easy to use and very intuitive for creating your own designs (and many ready to make projects are also available).
I would highly recommend the cricut joy for anyone wanting starting out in cutting or looking for some portability in their machine.
The smart cutting materials also make life so easy - no mats required for cutting!
