hmmm.
Recieved pad through post. But by the looks of it, it had got damp? Paper was not flat and took some flattening to look presentable. If I hadn't of needed it desperately then I would've sent it back. Other paper items were fine.

This product, drawing paper, is a good quality purchase.
Having used lightweight drawing paper I was advised to try a better quality surface. I found the pad I wanted in the store with no difficulty and it is enabling me to improve the quality of my work.

Great quality paper
I am really pleased with this A3 Daler Rowney, Fine Grain - Heavyweight drawing pad. I have been using it to create a series of adult colouring illustrations for a charity in Kenya. The quality of the paper is very good for drawing both in pencil and pen.

More information please!
I bought this recently, and it was ready for Click and Collect very quickly. I hope to make a Coptic stitch sketchbook with it. However, when undertaking any type of bookmaking, one needs to know which way the paper grain is running - and very few paper blocks tell you - including this one. I appreciate this is something which Daler Rowney needs to address, rather than Hobbycraft, but perhaps Hobbycraft could suggest it to Daler Rowney (and all other makers of paper pads and books...)

Ideal paper for calligraphy
This paper is smooth and heavyweight - ideal for use with a calligraphy dip pen. I have also used it for pencil sketches and found it to be excellent. Light pencil marks can be easily erased with a plastic rubber without significant damage to the paper surface.
When used for producing calligraphy pieces the paper takes acrylic paint very well so that the work can be illiminated. Any small mistakes with the ink can usually be scraped away with a craft knife.
