This was useful to me, as an item for my work and some funitems for my grandchild.
I used to come here much more because as a professional artist I used your art department as a local resource. The only other art shop is in Chiswick. I bought two artists oil paints, as you haven't any in a larger tube, also you haven't a good range or artists materials. As you are mainly a hobby shop I understand this.BUT being also a family person, with a 3 year old grandaughter, I can't come here for my materials, which I used to when your artmaterials were on the ground floor and more extensive. Also I can't recommend your shop to my students at school or private ones. Sue Groom

good starting point
An elephant for a nine year old novice decoupage artist . Small enough to be a manageable project, large enough to stand alone and be proud of when finished. A great success and with suitably eastern influenced papers and stick on gems looks just exactly as a ceremonial pachyderm should look.

Decoupage
I bought this elephant to create a decoupage for my Mum's birthday as an extra gift that is handmade. I printed out many photos in black and white of all the memories from her past, with images of her family, places, pets etc., gluing them to the elephant as elephants are known for their excellent memories - an elephant never forgets. My mum was overjoyed and loved it and was emotional receiving this. This is something I had never created before, but now I have a new string to the create bow and will create more like this in the future. Thank you Hobbycraft for selling these types of animals - I wish you had rugby balls and other sports related paper mache for decoupage too. I also bought a 7 and a 5 to ge with the elephant and painted in bright colours to celebrate her 75th.

Shimmer and shine
I love Elephants and couldn't resist this little fella. He has taken the Shimmer and Shine cover method without any problems. (this is a wet glitter glaze) No soggines of the papermachie model. The model has also taken acyrlic paint and hot glue without any issues.

decoupage elephant
i bought this for my niece as a very special memorial for her dear little girl that died prematurely, and had to be delivered stillborn. I covered it in purple handmade paper that I had. She was delighted to receive such a special gift at such a sad time. Elephants they had already chosen as a feature rather than teddies for their expected little one. Thankyou even though the occasion was a sad one.

exactly what I wanted ,the image of the elephant was good and the perfect size.
I called in to the Coventry branch not really sure of what I could buy as I had bought a paper mache birthday gift for my daughter last year. The sales assistant was so helpful , and I ended up buying the elephant and additional products with confidence As I do not make things myself , I relied on the assistant to help me choose the most suitable adornments and glue .
