Good quality but very thick
I'm no expert on thread, but assumed this would be fine with the sewing machine I was also ordering ordered. Only when it arrived did I realise it was very thick thread, not necessarily a bad thing but for example I couldn't do buttonholes with it. When comparing it to other threads I have from the same brand, it was at least twice as thick. More info/guidance about this would be appreciated, Hobbycraft!

Gutermann top cotton
Often I find it necessary to alter any 'new' clothing as I am a perfectionist - must have a perfect fit!
Often I need a thicker thread to match the existing thread of the garment. This cotton does just that.

Excellent top stitch thread
Use this all the time as it is strong, does not break and although more expensive than other threads, definitely worth the extra money. Recommend this item.
