Excellent size!
I bought this to use to hang a very large cross stitch. However on returning home I realised it was just the right size to retrieve several lost items from behind my radiator, I've found items I've not seen for years so very pleased with it although I'm yet to put it to the use for which it was intended

Beautiful wood
I purchased this dowel to make macrame wall hangings. It’s a beautiful shade of light wood and they are not too heavy but feels solid and good quality.

Great Wooden Dowels
I bought from hobbycraft (Wimbledon) a wooden dowel, which was easy to use — cutting with a saw and sanding down to a smooth finish — for its intended purpose. I had a brilliant result with this dowel and I bought another 5 identical wooden dowels for similar purposes. Luckily for me, I had received a discount offer (15% off purchases) that reduced my outlay for these 5 dowels. Well done, hobbycraft (Wimbledon) !!

Wood is fine, stickers are terrible!
The dowels are pretty consistent with even grain and minimal bending. They have these big stickers on them though that are impossible to remove in one piece, and leave a thick adhesive residue that is very tough to get off. I basically lost a meter's worth of material because I couldn't use anything with the adhesive on it.

Excellent price
I've been wanting to make a baby hanger basket to gift my sister. The dowels in other shops where so expensive. Hobby craft had the most value for money dowels. They had the largest range with different levels of thickness as well and length. Can't go wrong for the price or quality.

product fine. packaging OMG
i really didnt have a problem with the dowels they were perfect for the project i wanted them for. My issue was the box they come in.... if i had ordered a flat screen tv i would of made sense of the size of it.. come on Hobby craft theres gotta be a simpler more efficient way.

Very sturdy though slightly too long
Great product though it did need cutting to the right length so the ball on my sweet tree wasn't too high but does withstand the weight of the ball with all the ferrero rochers on it

Does what it says on tin basic dowling . Might get cheaper at diy hut tbf it was good value and convenient to buy in store
