Barely marks paper
The lead is too hard to mark fabric without damaging it or best case requires multiple passes which makes accuracy very difficult and the mark will still be faint. I tried it on paper and it barely made a mark on that either!

Half good, half bad
The lead in the black pencil was broken into small pieces so it dropped out every time I sharpened the pencil, making it useless. The chalk pencil was ok though so 50% good.

Dressmakers pencil
Have tried different Taylor’s chalk that don’t mark properly but these pencils do. They make a very clear mark that is easy to follow on the machine
