Perfect for the job to stop me making holes in the end of my fingers!
I've recently done some hand sewing without a thimble and it made the end of my fingers really sore and punctured (I had to keep swapping fingers to push the needle in with..) I suddenly remembered the humble thimble and realized this was just what I needed and that I had to go no further than Hobbycraft for my purchase - thank you!

Stains finger!
The thimble does what it is supposed to do, but I did notice a strong smell of copper on my finger the first day I used it, and on the second day when I used it for a few hours on a big piece, it had stained my finger black!

Yes, but no.
Although a perfectly adequate metal thimble, this is not quite what I was looking for. I found the leather, with metal finger tip protector, thimble on a well known internet site.

good
every day i would have to ruthlessly stab my fingers in order to do my job and sew. With this thimble i can now survive this ordeal and come out intact, total game changer.

Great quality but very short
I bought the medium size and it’s overall way too short. It fits well however it falls down when I move my hand because it sits just on my finger nail
