Warning: You will need to work in a well-ventilated area while working with resin. You will also need to wear a respirator mask and wear disposable gloves.
You will need
* Pebeo Bio-Based Crystal Resin
* Letters and Numbers Mould
* Fluid Pigments
* Biodegradable Glitter
* Pouring Cups
* Nitrile Gloves
* Dried Flower Petals
Decide what kind of letters you are wanting to make; for a clear finish you will just need the resin, if you want to make coloured, you'll need fluid pigments or you could also add some biodegradable glitter in with the colours and a few dried flower petals too - the choice is yours!
Mix up your resin according to the quantities guide in the box, stirring slowly and continuously until the mixture goes crystal clear - mixing the resin sufficiently is key to it setting!
To create the coloured letters, add a drop of fluid pigment and stir well before pouring the mixture into the mould.
We created a few different colours for our letters in different mixing pots.
Tip: Ensure before starting you have enough pots for the number of colours you'd like to create.
Add in any biodegradable glitter at this stage however, if adding pressed floral it is easier to add these in once the resin is in the mould.
Pour the mixture into the mould and make sure the resin sits right to the top, and is level, so that you get a consistent finish across all the letters.
Leave the resin to set overnight - we'd suggest 24 hours to be sure the resin has completely set.
Once the resin has set, carefully remove the letters from the mould.
The resin letters can then be used to create keyrings, added to gift tags, or used as card toppers - the possibilities are endless!
