Beth Salt - Artisan
Hello! I’m Beth Salt, a Surface Pattern Designer from Chesterfield. I love working with a range of art materials from Gouache paint to Oil Pastels to create colourful, busy designs which I then turn into patterns for fabric and other lifestyle products.
The main inspiration for my work is nature, there is such a beautiful variety of elements to draw within the botanical and animal world and they often feature in my designs. Sewing is also a craft area I enjoy and often create textile products such as Bags, Keyrings and Cushions using the fabric I have designed.

I used colourful Posca pens to create a bright floral pattern inspired by pretty spring flowers that grow in the wild.
